Today was very successful and relaxing! I haven't drawn in quite some time, so luckily this put me back in the mood. Once I finished drawing my silly little cow, I came back to my dorm and completed this. There are so many things I'd like to take up again. Dance, drawing, piano and knitting. So many things, so little time right? It's horrible.
Luckily, I've been keeping up with cooking and singing, the two things I would hate to lose. I checked out this cool little book on recipes using the oddest ingredients. There was a recipe for...hot chocolate with sea salt. I tried it and it was disgusting, so for future reference, please don't try that.
I got a new journal too. Which is why I haven't been writing. My other one was full. But this one is adorable. It's sea foam green with blue trimming. Just cute.

A friend found my cat so, if you were keeping an eye out, you don't need to anymore. She's safe and all that.
I was also wondering if anyone finished their essay for Potions? I'm...half a foot away from finishing and I've run out of things to write about. Help would be appreciated! A lot, actually.

Ice skating was fun! Even though I was on my bum more than my feet. Apparently being a dancer does not help you with skating. Learn something new everyday, yeah? Anyway, it was a little chilly but loads of fun. I seriously think we need to do this sort of thing more often.

I can't wait for it to be Friday. This week has been extremely long and...tiring. I seriously think that the professors figure us sixth years need more homework since we don't have any big tests to do this year. Oh well. I know I can do it all, it's just...getting the motivation to do it. I can't remember the last time I was this lazy.

The Talent Show was a lot of fun! You guys are all very talented. Joss and Olivia! Your song was adorable, I loved it. Honestly, one of my favourites. Colin and Isaac, of course your scene was very believable. The blood...looked very real. It was grossly real.
Hank, I had no idea you belly danced. That was interesting surprising to say the least.
I'd have to say it was a lovely turn out, a lot of fun as well.

Did you know that cats sleep 16-18 hours a day? And elephants are the only animal with four knees. Interesting...and apparently the opposite sides of a dice cube always add up to seven. That's...really weird.
I found this random fact book in the common room, hence the facts. If it's yours, I have it and I'm almost finished reading it so you can get it back.
All babies are colourblind when they're born and they spend more time dreaming than adults too. Weird.

Amazing Christmas and New Years. Absolutely amazing. Despite my parents being a little irked at my staying here, they still sent me the most brilliant presents ever. A copy of Pride and Prejudice and Mansfield Park. I love Jane Austen. She's a brilliant writer. They also sent me a bracelet and a jacket. It's...interesting.
How has everyone else been? And their hols? I hope well and I hope no one got too...crazy on New Years.

The ball was amazing! Everyone looked so nice and put together. The blokes were very sharp and the ladies were gorgeous. I like these kind of social events better than the ones at home. Much more fun. So! Good job to everyone who dressed up and whatnot! Joss you looked gorgeous and so did you Olivia! Scorpius, handsome as ever, as always. Everyone just looked amazing.
In all honesty I do miss home a bit but I think I'll get over it once I settle in for the hols. The snow is deep! I love it. Oh! And the presents I ordered for my parents came in finally so I can get them out on time for Christmas which is helpful! Wouldn't want them to get out late. I got a book from my grandmum sent me a copy of Wuthering Heights. I haven't started yet but I will soon enough.
Anyway, I hope everyone is having a brill time whether you're at home or Hogwarts. Happy Holidays!

Christmas is coming closer and closer. I'm excited for snow and I want to kick the fourth years off of the couch so I can sit. They think it's fine to sprawl. It is not okay to sprawl. I might be coming down with a cold as well. My throat feels a little tight and itchy and my voice is getting sort of raspy and stuff. Merlin. This week hasn't been very good so far.

I found a dress! Finally. It seemed like they were all way too bright, too short or just really...slaggy. But yes! I found a dress. And I'm very satisfied with it.

I just found one of my old books on photography and my muggle polaroid camera! I didn't think I packed it this year but apparently I did. I have two full cartridges so I think I'm going to go take some photos later on. Muggles are brilliant. I love their inventions.

I honestly can't say I'm excited for this...ball thing. That would mean this holiday would be the same as every other holiday and I would like a change. I don't know. It just seems a little boring and...boring. Then again I could just be worn out on the whole ball/fancy dinner/social scene.
Apparently third years find it entertaining to push each other into other people as well. Very immature if you ask me. But what can you do, they'll be immature no matter how hard you try to change them.

I have a quick poll!
So every Christmas the Professors set up the big tree in the Great Hall and decorate it with fancy ornaments right? How many of you would be interested in making ornaments and decorating the tree ourselves? I thought it'd be a nice way to celebrate the hols. I have a book with a whole bunch of different ways to make ornaments. Some are made out of food and some are made out of different craft materials.
Anyway - just let me know what you think and if you'd want to participate or not. Thank you!

Guess what I found! My photo album! I'm so excited...I know that it's not that great but...it is! There's some from when I went to Norway over the summer so there's a lot of food pictures. I particularly like this one just because it looks amazingly delicious.
Also...I apologise to the girls in my dorm, I cleaned so things are all neat and tidy now. I cleaned up some of the common room too because there were papers on the ground and books strewn about. You guys should consider putting things away, it isn't that difficult. But if you don't that's fine, it gives me something to do.

Missing owls. It's never fun. I don't own an owl, though...I know that I'd be devastated if Persephone ever ran off. I'll keep an eye out for the little guy and send him your way if I do find him! I'll spread the word as well.
The match is tomorrow! Can't wait for that. They're usually pretty entertaining especially when it's Gryffindor and Slytherin playing. Gotta love the ol' rivalry huh? Good luck Slytherin! I know you guys can win. It'll be a nice break from...all these damn essays. I mean they're easy but it just hurts my head to have to write so much. Oh well. I'll live! It's all worth it in the end.
I have a new green shirt I can wear too! I forgot about that...now I'm even more excited...
